Items which have been previously powder coated, or have multiple layers of paint are chemically stripped prior to the blasting process.
Quite often a carbon fork can be wet painted to match the powder coat finish, or painted a contrasting color. Powder coating carbon is not an option.
Services include the basic masking of all threaded surfaces and areas where coating would interfere with reassembly, head tubes, seat tubes, etc. Prices below do not include powder materials. These must be purchased separately.

Special masking of salvaged chrome or to accomplish multi-color patterns, different colored lugs for example, are bid on an individual basis based on complexity.
Full Suspension Frames require significantly more masking and attention to details than a standard frame. Removal or installation of pressed in bearings is additional.

Braze-On additions such as rack mounts, water bottle bosses, housing stops, shifter bosses, and the like generally run $30 per pair. Please request a quote for unique applications
This includes the basic labor required to reduce the standard bicycle to the point that it can be media blasted and powder coated. Reassembly does not include the cost of replacement parts subject to wear or that cannot be salvaged.

Disassembly and re-lacing of conventional wheels, usually for the purpose of powder coating the rims. New spokes and nipples will always be used and are priced separately.

Groody Bros. offers the creation and/or application of graphics to your frame. You may source commercially manufactured decals or allow us to create custom graphics from cut vinyl. A clear top coat is recommended after application to enhance appearance and durability.
Upon request, Groody Bros. will contract out chrome plating for you. Prices are not guaranteed and depend entirely on what we are charged.

Send us your designs in a .jpg, .eps, or vector art to be recreated in durable cut vinyl. Price quotes available on request. Pricing based on number of graphics to be created, complexity, and number of colors.
Delicate decals such as waterslide decals are better able to withstand everyday use with a clear topcoat. However, they do not hold up to the powder coat process, so a urethane topcoat is advisable.
